How this mental age test works
Choose one of four answers on each screen. Go with the option that sounds most like your everyday preferences, even if none is an exact match. You can go back while taking the test. There are no right answers and no score you need to aim for.
The questions cover habits, tastes, money, music, bedtime and free time. They describe imagined choices, so you can take part without sharing private information. Your result is saved on this device when browser storage is available.
A playful age, with no ranking
Each answer has a fixed number of age points. We average those points and choose the nearest of eight bands: 13, 18, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65 and 80. At an exact midpoint, the earlier band wins. The table adds a closeness score for each band using squared distance, which gives that same nearest-average result.
The age points are invented for this game. A familiar playlist does not tell us your age, and enjoying a pillow fort says nothing about how you handle responsibility. People of any age can enjoy every option here. Think of the result as a funny outfit for today’s answers.
Make it a conversation starter
Share your mental age with someone and compare which choices felt familiar. You may get more out of talking about a favorite Saturday than out of the number itself. You can take it again whenever your preferences change; the latest finished result replaces the previous one on this device.
